Our mission & philosophy

We positively match employee to employer. We alleviate daily staffing pressures by becoming an extension of the businesses we serve. As the temporary staffing division of Goodwill NYNJ, we support Goodwill's mission of enhancing the quality and dignity of life for individuals, families and communities.

Our values

  • Create opportunity for those with a sincere drive to work.
  • Understand and fulfill the dynamic needs of employees.
  • Judge applicants according to their ability to effectively perform the duties of a job, and their work ethic.
  • Think big and pursue all goals with zeal.

Our vision

By focusing on and fulfilling the individual needs of applicants and employers, GoodTemps strives to earn the reputation as the number one temporary staffing solution.

What we do

GoodTemps places a wide variety of employees, from laborers to lawyers and administrative assistants to accounting professionals in long- and short-term temporary assignments in the public and private sectors. We offer one of the best temp-to-hire conversion programs in the industry.

Where we do it

With offices in Greater New York and throughout New Jersey, GoodTemps enables a flexible workforce by matching employers with qualified, motivated job seekers in the five boroughs of New York City, Northern New Jersey, Westchester, Nassau and Suffolk Counties.

"What do you need to accomplish?"

Whether you are an employer or a jobseeker, this is our first concern. We learn the business goals of the employers we serve and the strengths and career goals of the jobseekers we qualify, which helps us match the right candidate to the job.

GoodTemps is your business solution

While most temporary staffing agencies are profit driven, GoodTemps is people oriented, and that can make a big difference to your business.

We're an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action employer

As the temporary staffing division of Goodwill Industries of Greater New York and Northern New Jersey, GoodTemps places people with disabilities and other barriers to employment, dislocated workers and professional individuals with diverse backgrounds.

Teamwork makes it happen

GoodTemps partners with a diverse array of agencies and community organizations in order to support the mission of bringing dignified employment to people with disabilities. The success of those we serve demonstrates that, by focusing on their abilities, the value of individuals can be leveraged toward the needs of employers.

New York State Industries for the Disabled

As a participating member of NYSID (New York State Industries for the Disabled), GoodTemps provides quality job opportunities for New Yorkers with disabilities. NYSID - a not-for-profit member agency - has served New York State for over thirty years, advocating for and advancing employment and awareness for New Yorkers with disabilities.

New York state finance law requires city and state agencies to contract with NYSID for temporary staffing services. This allows GoodTemps to give preference to people with disabilities through many of our contracts. To take advantage of this preference, we encourage applicants who are eligible to participate in our affirmative action program.
