REMOTE & FIELD WORK REQUIRED (shifts between 8:00am - 5:00pm

Location(s): All 5 NYC Boroughs (TRAVEL REQUIRED)

Exciting opportunity available to highly qualified applicants to participate in a project of high importance. Help various organizations in NYC to achieve and maintain safety compliance. Daily travel to “monitor/conduct” site assessments throughout all five boroughs to assess adherence within programs to basic COVID-19 prevention strategies and program requirements. All travels are conducted via public transportation (with reimbursement) and are planned using Wireless Monitoring Devices and applications.

Duties include:

  • Completing reports used as feedback to support findings and improving program implementation
  • Assessing health and safety at child care setting, in particular the providers’ adherence to COVID-19 prevention measures such as: hand-washing/hand sanitizing, masks, social distancing, daily screening, isolation of symptomatic youth or staff, reporting of COVID illness or cases, and cleaning and disinfecting
  • Follow-up Site Visits: Following up on new provider or existing provider sites as needed
  • Completing site monitoring evaluation reports
  • Sharing feedback with the program team that oversees contracts
  • Responding to COVID-19 reports in the portal, situated at worksite by inputting cases into the system and communicating to staff on proposed action steps to communicate to providers
  • Participating with a panel of staff to interview child care proposers at the final stages of the application process
  • Supporting distribution of PPE at Offices by scheduling providers, coordinating pick-up materials and distribution, typically from Offices
  • Other duties as needed including attendance follow-up, responding to communications, supporting transportation requests

Other responsibilities may include but are not limited to:

  • Clearly communicating program policies/procedures/rules and regulations/ file review/audits
  • Performing daily administrative functions related to working as part of an office

What you need to have

Skills
  • Ability to provide technical assistance to ensure adherence to program requirements
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills required
  • Must be able to navigate public transportation and comfortable with field work (requires walking)
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office applications; demonstrated work proficiency with the Internet Knowledge of using Wireless Devices such as but not limited to Android, iPad, iPhone, Track Pads, and applications applied to other handheld devices.
  • Knowledge of human services, including child care
Prior experience & qualifications
  • Minimum 5 years of previous supervisory experience required
  • 60 credits from an accredited college; or 30 credits from an accredited college and 6 months of work experience; or High School graduation or evidence of having passed an examination for a high school equivalency diploma, and one year of work experience required
