Job description

  • Review and analyze certification applications and updates by exercising sound judgment in evaluating small businesses for certification to ensure accuracy of forms and all required documents have been submitted and are in accordance with the City’s Rules and Regulations
  • Handle confidential information and enter data to client management system
  • Deliver administrative support to the Certification Unit
  • Provide excellent customer service and interactions with clients
  • Process paper applications/addendums and handle archiving/records keeping tasks in the Certification System
  • Complete lead requests in the Certification System
  • Assist with special projects to implement targeted outreach initiatives

What you need to have

Skills
  • Outstanding writing, presentation, and communications skills
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite and comfortable learning new computer programs
  • Ability to understand business and financial documents such as corporate by-laws, partnership agreements, tax returns, and bank statements
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams and diverse groups of people
  • Fluent in Spanish, Mandarin, Cantonese or Korean a plus
Prior experience & qualifications
  • A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college and two years of experience in community work or community centered activities in an area related to the duties described above
