We are searching for an authentically positive and customer-focused individual to interact with and assist employees and customers on a daily basis. Convenient Downtown Brooklyn location close to subways. Monday to Friday 8:30am – 4:30pm.

The ideal candidate will assist the Payroll staff with customer service duties including:

  • High volume phone call and email inquiries
  • Excellent customer service skills (via phone, e-mail and in-person)
  • Resolving any incoming questions or concerns from temporary employees, supervisors or customers in a professional manner
  • Reviewing documents, time-sheets, letters/forms and checks etc. to ensure accuracy
  • Accurately input/update information and records into databases and spreadsheets, etc.
  • Meet with temporary employees (in-person) to address their concerns
  • Proofread information on documents/timesheets/checks/invoices
  • Calculations, change of address, direct deposit and other related tasks
  • Must be able to multi-task with an excellent eye for detail
  • Ability to work both independently and as a team player
  • Must understand and communicate clearly in English
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Provide assistance with other Accounting/Payroll duties as needed

What you need to have

  • Typing skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office programs is required
Prior experience & qualifications
  • Must understand and communicate clearly in English
  • Prior relevant experience is a plus
  • Excellent customer service skills (both via phone and in-person)
