Location: Staten Island, NY

Hours: 9:00am to 5:00pm

Experienced data entry professionals with customer service skills needed to respond to calls and inquiries from members of the public by setting up appointments and/or completing requests for assistance

Duties include:

  • Asking callers for information necessary to respond to inquiries. Informing callers of status of existing service requests.
  • Following up and documenting cases in the systems. Updating the database upon completion of calls to reflect the status of each case
  • Under the direction of supervisors, assisting with placing students on register at schools
  • Assisting with targeted calls to help increase enrollment and provide resources to applicants
  • Responding to incoming calls from customers asking routine, frequently-asked questions and providing information about appropriate policies/procedures and contacts
  • Helping users to navigate various applications and troubleshooting technical problems with internal computer programs.
  • Assisting with collecting family contact information and determining the best ways to reach them
  • Serving as a resource to families and students regarding admissions, providing high-quality information and timely responses to inquiries
  • Duties may include verifying data and preparing materials for printing
  • Must abide by policies and procedures to ensure the highest standard of accuracy

What you need to have

  • Operating data entry device, such as keyboard or photo composing perforator
  • Verified proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel and
  • Typing speed of 35wpm required
  • Able to use multiple computer systems to handle calls, file new requests for service, and maintain tracking systems
Prior experience & qualifications
  • High school diploma or its equivalent required
  • Bilingual proficiency is preferred
