LOCATION(S): New York City, Westchester County, Fairfield & New Haven Counties in Connecticut

SCHEDULE: PART-TIME (1-2 days per week – must have a flexible schedule). Must have a flexible schedule and be available to work all shifts (weekends, late nights, holidays - AM & PM peak times) and able to travel

Reliable and conscientious workers needed for railroad projects.

Duties include:

  • Counting passengers on-board and getting on and off trains using mechanical hand-tally counters
  • Distributing and collecting survey questionnaires onboard trains and at stations

** *** This position requires a stationary position and moving throughout the train/station during shift. Some areas where applicants will be conducting counts may be very hot or cold depending on weather conditions****

What you need to have

Skills
  • Able to inspect/understand reading and arithmetic materials and follow instructions
  • Possess good communication skills to interact with passengers and staff
  • Able to inspect/understand public train timetables and be familiar with transit territory, station names and train destinations
  • This position requires constantly moving through a 10-car train during shift
  • Passenger counts and/or survey collection and distribution may begin or end at any time during a 24-hour period, and frequently begins in the early morning
Prior experience & qualifications
  • Prior work experience will be evaluated and considered
