Location: Downtown Brooklyn, NY

Hours: 9:00am to 5:00pm; Full time

The purpose of this position is to administer activities and process transactions for one of the following Human Resources areas: Benefits, Employment, Human Resources Information Systems and Training.

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Gathers, validates and maintains data and other transaction inputs
  • Enters transactions in HRIS system and the service request management tool
  • Retrieves, indexes and reviews scanned documents and forms
  • Provides satisfactory customer service by receiving, analyzing, researching and resolving queries
  • Integrates across BSC teams to document, research and resolve basic issues and errors
  • Performs / supports cyclical processing and period-end activities
  • Develops and updates operating procedures and training materials as needed
  • Understands the company vision including how responsibilities fit into strategies
  • Maintains appropriate level of process, functional and technical knowledge and training
  • Ensures that all assignments are completed within the specifications of the agreed-to Service Level Agreement
  • Identifies and implements continuous improvement initiatives as assigned
  • Identifies and documents input to knowledge management tool
  • Supports project activities including requirements gathering, functional design & configuration, testing, training design, development & delivery, postproduction support

  • Working knowledge and use of HRIS database software

  • Can assess problems and promptly resolve or identify appropriate team to resolve
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Highly-developed interpersonal skills with the ability to work with and collaborate across the organization at all levels within and outside the organization
  • Strong time-management skills and ability to manage individual assignments
  • Close attention to detail
  • Handles sensitive situations and maintain a high degree of confidentiality
  • Ability to understand Human Resources policies and procedures
  • Familiarity with performance metrics and the ability to meet identified targets
  • Working knowledge of service request management tools
  • Working knowledge and proficient with office productivity tools (e.g., GroupWise, MS Office applications), web-based applications, and Shared Services
Prior experience & qualifications
  • 2+ years of related HR data processing experience or Bachelor's degree required
  • Possesses specific work experience for Human Resources area hired
