Location: Financial District, Lower Manhattan, NY

Hours: 9:00am to 5:00pm (Full time)

Discreet and meticulous Human Resources professionals needed for an urgent project. Appointees will perform comprehensive background investigations of prospective employees under the guidance of HR Compliance.

Duties include:

  • Responsible for investigating and reviewing files and contacting and verifying former employers and references to recommend applicants’ eligibility for employment
  • Verifying information concerning education, experience, and other personal qualifications
  • Managing the handling of employee benefits, recruiting, interviewing or hiring of staff in accordance with policy
  • Aiding the company's effective utilization of employees by providing training and development opportunities
  • Assisting employees with and helping resolve work-related issues such as leave and disputes
  • Supporting staffing, compensation, visa/green card processing, employee relations, training, and health and safety programs
  • Creating and maintaining new files
  • Performing related other administrative and clerical work as directed
  • Performing a variety of tasks. May lead and direct the work of others

What you need to have

  • Ability to utilize HRIS software, such as Silkroad, PeopleSoft, or equivalents strongly preferred
  • Knowledge and understanding of general office software, such as Word, Excel, or equivalents
Prior experience & qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree plus 3 years of related experience or any combination of education and experience totaling 7 years
