PHYSICAL WORKSITE

Location: Tribeca/City Hall area, Manhattan, NY

Daily schedule: 9:00 AM — 5:00 PM

Qualified and dedicated supervisory staff required for important positions providing direct assistance to ensure housing stability for formerly homeless and at-risk Veterans and Military Families. Responsible for ensuring compliance with established corporate standards and reviewing and evaluating the work and performance of subordinates.

Duties include but not limited to:

  • Critical-time intervention through outreach phone calls and emails
  • Managing the Veteran aftercare database, and other tools that support aftercare and prevention work as needed
  • Assisting in the development and maintenance of relationships with public and private partners regarding special projects and initiatives
  • Assisting in the planning, implementation and support of special initiatives and projects that support current or former clients as it pertains to aftercare and prevention
  • Representing the Department as needed in meetings, conferences and/or events
  • Collaborate with and support internship task assignments
  • Complying with all company policies and procedures, environmental health and safety, dress code, time and leave policies, and Code of Conduct
  • Directly supervising and coordinating the activities of clerical and administrative support workers
  • Establishes work procedures and standards to improve efficiency and effectiveness of assigned operations
  • Performing other related duties assigned by supervisor

What you need to have

Skills
  • Proficient in the use of MS Office, especially MS Word and MS Excel; and job-specific applications/systems to produce correspondence, charts, spreadsheets, and/or other information applicable to the position
  • Have a desire to learn and adapt to new concepts, skills, and situations in real-time
  • Able to work both independently and in a team environment
Prior experience & qualifications
  • Must possess knowledge regarding city, state, and community resources
  • Have basic knowledge of Veteran and Military family needs and services strongly preferred
  • Possess the skills of engagement and needs-assessment for mental health and social needs
  • Minimum 3 year of previous supervisory experience
