Goodwill NYNJ is launching a mobile donation pilot in the Upper Eastside of Manhattan.
Upper Eastsiders! Have a closet full of unwanted clothes? Still have that slightly used Halloween costume from last night? Why not donate it?
Today, Goodwill NYNJ launched their Giving's Good donation pilot program in the Upper Eastside, the aim of which is to bring the convenience of donating to residents in that area as they head out for their morning commute.
On weekday mornings from November 1st, and mid-December (6am to 9am), Goodwill brand ambassadors will be situated at the intersections along Lexington Avenue at 59th Street, 68th Street, 77th Street, 86th Street, and 96th Street. If you live in the area, simply bag up your items to be donated, and drop them off with our staff as you enter one of those stations. As a not-for-profit social enterprise, all donations are fully tax deductible, and tax receipts are available upon request.
Last year, Goodwill kept 117 million pounds of recoverable goods out of local landfills. Help us beat that record this year.
