NYC Disability Mentoring Day - October 21st, 2009

October 21st 2009 is NYC Disability Mentoring Day.

October 21st 2009 is NYC Disability Mentoring Day. Organized and operated by the NYC Mayor's Office for People with Disabilities (MOPD), DMD is a free program aimed at helping companies gain an appreciation of the unique skills and abilities that disabled workers can bring to the workplace.

For people with disabilities, DMD helps them gain insight into what is required to work in today's fast paced environment by allowing them to spend a day at an NYC business in their field of interest. It is both an excellent way to get a ;foot in the door and to gain insight into the skills needed to succeed in their chosen career path.
